Details

Manmohan Dutt was the father of Malayalam music, a mystic devotee, poet, Baul, social reformer and lyricist, composer and singer of many wonderful songs. The songs written by Manmohan Dutt were composed by Aftab Uddin, the elder brother of Ustad Alauddin Khan. At the request and cooperation of his local followers, the great saint's successor, Shrimat Swami Sudhir Chandra Dutta, established the ashram in the village of Jagatpur in the 4th ward under the No.02 Jagatpur union of Titas upazila on the 10th of Falgun 1319 BS. Since then, on the initiative of the locals, a Malay concert is organized at the ashram every year in the memory of the devotee.
